Simran has extensive experience advising defined benefit pension schemes, including a number of £1bn+ arrangements. Her experience spans funding and investment strategy, buy-outs and endgame planning, as well as data and GMP equalisation projects. She has also advised on a range of scheme benefit changes, implemented scheme mergers and supported on security structures.

She has held in-house pensions management roles, leading complex projects across multiple schemes. This includes scheme closures, the establishment of new schemes, and negotiations with unions and member representatives. A key aspect of her work is stakeholder engagement, with a strong focus on developing effective communication strategies and engaging directly with members.

Simran also has experience in superfund transactions, including involvement in the first non-distressed Clara transaction and the development of new superfund structures.

She supports the development of the profession through her work with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, including exam setting and assessing apprentices.
